Where Are They Now? Stephanie Manieri – Class of 2013
Alumni #WhereAreTheyNow Spotlight: Stephanie Manieri – Class of 2013
Stephanie Manieri is the daughter of immigrant parents from Mexico and Venezuela. She is a Southwest Santa Rosa native who attended Lawrence Cook Middle School and Elsie Allen High School. In 2013, she graduated from EAHS and began her higher education studies at Dominican University of California. She graduated with a B.S. in Public Health in 2017 and in 2018 received her M.S. in Health Policy and Law from the University of California, San Francisco.
As a first-generation student from a socioeconomically disadvantaged family and community, Stephanie understands the importance of civic engagement and the barriers many of our students of color face in our different communities. Her dedication and passion for equity has driven her to seek an elected position on the Santa Rosa City Schools Board. Stephanie is one of the oldest of 15 cousins who are first-generation students in our public education system and wants for them what she didn’t receive as a student. Currently, she is the President of the Elsie Allen High School Music Boosters and manages a paid internship program through Latino Service Providers for bilingual and bicultural youth who work to destigmatize mental health in the Latinx community.
